FireBug- Run
FireBug is a four-piece alternative rock band from Joshua Tree in the States. Releasing their single ‘Run‘ a super enticing piece of music, that really grips you in from the second it begins. Having that real old school rock and roll sound to it, with the funky guitar solos and the booming drum beats as they intertwine with the distinctive vocal elements. Having that slightly raspy texture to them and letting that collide alongside the flow of the insane instrumental that intertwines. This is definitely one of them pieces that fits any mood and one you can really get lost in, it definitely creates that more chilled out style as you listen, a super easy to listen too piece.
One that deserves all the recognition that comes its way, definitely a piece of music that embeds a lot of diverse styles of sound. But, really nails it with the whole alternative rock aspect, creating these killer instrumentals but then letting them collide alongside the soothing vocal elements. Then picking up the volume as the chorus begins to ignite, making sure to keep them guitar solos come crashing through against the other instruments and of course the fantastic vocal elements that continue to flow throughout this piece. Anaté- Flow
Anaté is a duo made up of singer-songwriter Ana and producer and songwriter Andrea who have come together to creat the single ‘Flow’. Coming from Berlin, Germany they infuse their chillout and pop sound throughout this rather mesmerising piece of music. A really calming track, definitely one you can stick your headphones on and get completely lost in, or just one to relax the mind in general. Having this real easy to listen too instrumental with these easy flowing beats that collide with the soft vocal elements. Creating this real stunning sound around the whole piece overall, from the way the instrumentals collide with the vocals.
These two certainly have a talent for pulling some pretty fantastic tracks together, this being one of them for sure. A piece that will definitely stand out and be loved by many for sure and one you will most likely have on repeat quite often. There are so many elements that are embedded throughout this piece from the brilliant instrumentation to the real gripping vocal aspects. Then there is the overall soothing sound that it gives of altogether which works so well. Definitely be sure to check out Anaté if you haven’t already, really love this piece!

Mark Houston- Whispers in the Dark
Mark Houston is a musician from Spokane, Washington who has released his single ‘Whispers in the Dark’ which is a rather fantastic piece of music. Infusing that folk and indie rock sound throughout this insane track, which has this ability to be able to be really calm and then have this fairly energetic rhythm running through, with this pure high energy flowing through, which is brilliant. Love the fact it starts of being fairly slow and then it comes in with this real upbeat instrumental, upping the volume and coming through with this real catchy instrumentation. A track that you for sure will want to have on repeat.
A piece that certainly has a rather hard-hitting meaning being about the struggles of a parent capturing this insane journey of emotions felt by parents during the change of their child from childhood to adulthood. You can definitely hear the pure emotion that seeps through the vocal elements of this piece and the lyrical approach definitely has some rather poignant words, a piece that will definitely resonate with many. Hannah Rose Vhy- Thorns
Hannah Rose Vhy is an artist from Budapest, recently dropping her very first single ‘Thorns’ pushing this alternative pop sound through this insane piece. Having this upbeat melody that begins to creep up the second the track begins, having these punchy beats that flow alongside her stunning vocals. Creating this really thrilling piece of music that many will want to delve into. Hannah herself is for sure very talented and that definitely shows throughout this piece. From the moment it begins you’re instantly gripped in and you want to continue to keep listening till the moment it stops.
Having this real funky melody flowing through that continues on, intertwining with the distinctive vocals from Hannah herself, having that rather brittle texture to them. Everything in this piece flows together perfectly and it all goes hand in hand and works together so well. This single is for sure a massive hit in itself and one that many will have on repeat. Such a brilliant piece from Hannah and one that will have a lot of recognition heading its way. Definitely one you must check out if you haven’t already, you won’t want to miss it!
