Round-up of the week: Astral Pedlars, Mike and Mandy, Ioana Vivisenco and CABS

Astral Pedlars- Where’s the underground?

Astral Pedlars is a six-piece outfit from London, infusing their synth indie-rock, alt-rock pop and indie-pop sound through their single ‘Where’s The Underground?’. Beginning with this groovy electronic rhythm as the gravelly textured vocals begin to seep through. It’s one of them pieces that definitely lifts your spirits as you listen, it has this rather uplifting essence surrounding it. Each element that pieces together works together perfectly, it has this sound that you can’t help but love. With the upbeat and energetic melodies alongside the catchy vocal aspects, it all comes together to create this fun loving sound that Astral Pedlars portrays.

Throughout this piece, you can definitely tell that it has this infectious element towards it, having that ability to get stuck in your head. It’s one of them that you can listen to over and over again and one that you get hooked on straight away for sure. This one is definitely a insane piece, one of them that you definitely need stick your headphones on for this one and just get a real feel for the brilliant sound that Astral Pedlars has. Mike and Mandy- Are You Now

Mike and Mandy are a duo from Los Angeles who have released their single ‘Are You Now’. Combining their distinctive sound of dream-pop, folktronica and indie-pop throughout this mesmerising piece. From the moment it starts, as a listener it definitely grabs your attention for sure. It is definitely a piece that takes that more unique style of sound, one that you don’t particular hear everyday, but one that you can’t help but love. It’s definitely a piece that you can listen to and want to constantly put on repeat. Were you truly tune in to each element that is flowing throughout.

Whether that’s from the stunning dulcet vocals or the groovy instrumentals, there are many reasons to check out this piece. Having them soft plucks on the guitar strings colliding alongside the impressive vocal elements. The overall melody that flows throughout, gives it this real captivating essence. There’s never a dull moment throughout this piece, through each second you’re intrigued to keep on listening and that’s what makes this piece such a stand out one. Definitely, love this piece by Mike and Mandy, be sure to check this one out for sure , you don’t want to miss it!

Ioana Vivisenco- Silver

Romania-based singer-songwriter Ioana Vivisenco has released her single ‘Silver’, a truly brilliant piece of music. Letting her distinctive dream-pop and cinematic sound ignite throughout, with the stunning vocal elements, not being afraid to reach them high notes and completely smash it. Focusing mainly on the more mellow style of vocals with a rather brittle texture. There are a lot of different vocal ranges that flow throughout this piece, which means you can really hear the talent behind Ioana. As well as the suspense that builds up throughout the powerful instrumentation. A piece that focuses on the journey of overcoming certain obstacles and hidden weaknesses.

Within this piece, you can really hear the raw emotion seep through the vocal elements, they have this rather dulcet tone them. This piece is definitely one of those that is really intriguing to listen too and keeps you hooked in from beginning to end. Definitely a piece that has many reasons to stand out from the enchanting vocals to the brilliant instrumentation that flows throughout. Really love this track by Ioana, this definitely has a huge amount of potential and will be something many will want to delve into, can’t wait to see what she does next!

CABS- Niagara Falls

CABS is a indie-pop duo based in London and Manchester, combining their impressive talent in their first single ‘Niagara Falls’. Definitely a band that has this rather distinctive sound, bringing in inspiration from the raw sound of bedroom-pop and dream-pop into these insanely catchy piece. From the moment it begins to when it ends, there is never a time where you feel yourself zoning out, this piece has the ability to be able to have you glued to this track and it certainly does that for sure. It has this cheerful essence surrounding it, with the infectious melodies and the truly fantastic vocal elements that seep through.

It has this overall joyful instrumentation that continues to flow throughout, in the best way. Definitely, a piece that many will be adding to their playlists, one that fits any mood but also has that ability to cheer you up for sure. A track that definitely deserves all the recognition it gets and one that has many reasons to stand out. If you haven’t heard this piece by the CABS, then you definitely need to get on that. Really loving this track and it for sure has a lot of potential and for a first piece it’s honestly brilliant, can’t wait to see what these guys get p to next!
